I've been saying I was going to write this, and I finally did. It's nothing terribly great, but I think it's kind of cute and didn't totally kill me in writing it. If I had gone any farther with it, it totally would have. I've said before, and I'll say it again: writing fanfics causes me physical pain.

Summary: A one-shot based on the Tomapi hug picture from the NEWS Tokyo Dome concert. What was happening down there in that 20 seconds?
Disclaimer: I am not connected to JE in any way (or am I?). All characters are real, all situations are...partially real. Thoughts n such are totally fictional because unless I'm psychic, I have no idea what those two were thinking. Hey, wanna let me in on that, guys?
Toma glanced over at his friend. He was happy for him. It had caught them both by surprise when Yamapi had joined NEWS and debuted, leaving the other 3Tops behind. It had always been Toma and Yamapi. They had always been on the same level. Then it all changed, and neither of them had understood why. And yet…
Yamapi looked over at his best friend. A grin spread across his face. It meant so much to him that Toma had been there. Even though they had been friends for over half of their lives, Yamapi had been worried for a long time that Toma resented him. He knew Toma had been hurt somewhat by his debut. It felt like a rift that neither of them could cross. Toma always kept a cheerful face, but Pi could sense beneath it that Toma was sad. All he wanted was to make him feel happy.
Toma was genuinely happy. No matter what, Yamapi was still Yamapi. Debuting hadn’t changed that. That had been Toma’s main worry; that his best friend would suddenly change and leave him behind. But he hadn’t, and Toma had managed to find his own way.
Standing underneath the stage lights at the Tokyo Dome, they both felt what had happened all those years ago and what their individual paths had led them to. Pi was with NEWS, and Toma was acting.
They always found a way back to each other.
Toma couldn’t hold back anymore. He inched closer to Yamapi, clasping his arm around Yamapi’s shoulder. Yamapi’s hand slid around Toma’s shoulder, and they faced each other. They caught each other’s eye and grinned, their arms encircling each other. Both of them could hear the crowd getting louder and louder as more people realized what they were doing.
Yamapi’s arms fit all the way around Toma, and Toma’s fit almost all the way around Yamapi. Toma could feel another heartbeat alongside his own, and it made him happy. He had a brief mental image of a red string running from his heart to Pi’s.
“Hey, Toma,” he heard Yamapi whisper. It was amazing that he could hear him above the crowd.
“Yeah?” Toma whispered back.
“We really have been together for half our lives, haven’t we?”
“Yeah, we have.”
“I don’t know what will happen in the future, but let’s stay together for a lot longer than that, okay?”
Yamapi felt his grin, and that made him happy. His friend’s happiness was his happiness.
“Sure,” said Toma.
As they broke apart, they caught each other’s glance again. It was a promise.
So nothing much else to report for now except I finally watched the "Torn" performance from Oh-kun and Ryo-chan. I kept meaning to go look for it since I first found out that they did a duet, but I was just lazy and forgetful. OH MAN. I am in love with that performance and song now. I like a good dose of fanservice, and boy do they dish it out. Now I'll be listening to this song for the next week. Great. Just when I got Koi no ABO out of my head.
I was lying in bed before I came to work, and staring at my ceiling just thinking about something and suddenly I hear Japanese coming from my television. I have no Japanese TV channels, so this was a little disconcerting at first. I thought maybe the school had accidentally had a transformer blow or were tuning into a foreign satellite or something. What was even weirder was that I understood what was being said.
"Chotto matte, ne? Iin desu ka?"
So I look up and see this commercial. Now I'm not sure whether to find this commercial offensive or hilarious. I'll go with the latter. Although I'm not sure what the Japanese have anything to do with this--it could have just as easily worked with a mix of people--apart from their love of baseball? No clue. But I have a feeling this will make it onto the 100 Funniest Commercials of the World show.

pali_mari Hiro and Nari-kun together and being all cute together!!!! I never would have thought of this combination, but it strangely works. And they're delinquents for their new movie "Drop." Can we just get more of this? I just want more Nari-kun anyway. I would not be opposed if, ahem, wallpapers were made out of these scans. They're arm wrestling! It's so cute!!!

Tokyo Dome has always been Yamapi's dream and my heart wibbles on how much he wanted to share that with Toma. ^___^

The flag counter amazes me cause it's gone up so much since I put it up, what, last week? Here I thought my own f-list barely read my entries apart from those who leave comments. Now I know there are lurkers...it's a little scary. And somehow I want them to speak up I at least know they're lurking.
I know what you mean. When I put up a flag counter this year, I was like 'WHOAAAH sugoi' even though most of my posts are f-locked. And even get views from Japan. I tell you, JE boys have probably reached our LJ. Hahaha. xD
Yeah, I saw your flag counter and was like "Wow, how many friends does Rei have?" But it's not just friends, but random people who find it. The Japan flags made me so happy. Just to see that one person from Japan had found their way there. Haha, what if it WAS a JE boy? Seeing us writing about them and writing stories about them.
I have vowed that if I ever get to know a JE boy that I will let him know of the existence of the JE LJ fanbase.
I don't even have a tenth of the counter as flist. lol. With bored people like Yamapi (hahaha), I bet he'd already reached LJ. I mean, Toma usually goes YT-ing, right? lol. They should know the extent of their popularity. But thank gad for online anonymity. xD
Sometimes I wonder that. If any JE boys have found LJ and seen just how crazy we are or how many fans there are here. Toma does go YouTubeing. I once looked up videos he might have seen and tried to see if anyone looked like him...no one did. XP Agreed. Thank goodness for the anon-ness of the internet and our secret double lives. ^_^
